Workshops and Training

CACTUS offers a range of participatory activities, technical workshops and training which stem from our creative process and our extensive training and research in performance, urban intervention, dance, theatre and martial arts.

Workshops are based on the devising and composition approach CACTUS uses for its own work and are aimed at triggering participants’ creative, devising and compositional skills through an engagement with processes of problem solving, improvisation and physical, visual and task based exercises.

Led by CACTUS founders Thais Mennsitieri, Dafne Louzioti and Noora Baker our training activities range across technical skills acquisition for performance, composition and devising work, strengthening and injury prevention classes, as well as workshops to accompany CACTUS performance works. All our work is based on an ethos of learning through enabling the mind, body and imagination, discussion and sharing.
